Voor de geinteresseerde Clubmobielers, koop het boek "The Arc in the Storm"
van Marjorie Lee Morgan, honderden foto's en verhalen van de "Doughnut Dollies"

Had 2 exemplaren, 1 uitgeleend aan de KTR redactie en nooit teruggehad!!

Ik heb deze op origineel Postcard formaat en achterop staat:

American Red Cross Clubmobiles staffed by American girls bring hot coffee and doughnuts to U.S. Forces overseas....



Deze kaart werd op 12 Maart 1944 naar huis gestuurd door Pfc Lee van het 17th Replacement Control Depot ( Avn)...

De B17-F Phyllis op de foto behoorde toe aan de 301st Bomb Group, die in December 1942 van Engeland naar Noord Afrika vehuisde...
Foto zou dus ergens laat 1942 in Engeland gemaakt zijn...

Kwam deze net tegen....



These American Red Cross club mobiles, trailers and supply trucks are waiting for shipment across the English Channel in England on June 16, 1944, to follow the Allied invasion armies. American Red Cross field men went into France with the military units they served in England, according to official announcement. Their club equipment will follow soon. Field Directors’ jeeps are lined up in the far background
