Nou, voor de mensen die geen Facebook hebben, hier even een paar updates! (sorry op Fb doe ik alles in het engels)
OK, since many people asked, a little on my 1942 Indian model 640, this is a very rare model, only about 4350 manufactured, it has a 45 cubic inch V-twin motor, so 750cc. Basicly a military Sport Scout, and very fast too!
Mine is from a British contract of 4 bikes, the only 4 of this type the brits had. (this was the last production of this model) It was found in India, in the 1990's by a german collector, Jürgen from Berlin, he sold it 12 years ago to someone in the UK, where I bought it, about 6 years ago. it is a matching numbers bike, so engine and frame have the same number, this is very rare for a military bike. I wanted this type of bike because;
A, it is very rare.
B, it is very fast.
C, I already had the original number plate for this type of bike!
A lot of work was already done, like sandblasting and painting in primer, some parts were missing, but have found all missing parts now (oops, still no original toolbox!), like airfilter (thanks Michel Clements) and elbow, rims, spokes, rear carrier (thanks Robin Markey), dashbord, ammeter, saddle, and a lot of engine parts.
Am slowly progressing, with all kinds of parts, restoring, and painting. below some pictures of how I found it, and some restored parts.
