Toch nog even "Moos"-style info op het net gedoken over de lampjes en dit gevonden op het WW2 reeancting-forum UK:
" Mainly they were intended to be fixed to stakes, posts etc and left in situ to mark routes, they would not have been practical as a Traffic Control lamp as it was a complicated affair to change the coloured filters over, so they were used to mark entrances, exits, safe routes through minefields, sides of bridges etc. The lenses are angled to prevent light being visible from the air. The Lamp No.2 was going out of use by early 1944"
